I don't remember it being there before 1995 or so, and that's also around the time Disney bought the New Amsterdam, also in the early 90's. The New Amsterdam was purchased by Disney years before they finished renovating it. The question is, was the Virgin store a result of Disney purchasing the New Amsterdam (even if it wasn't renovated yet), but instead knowing Disney was coming to town, others followed to invest money. |
