(At least among the first to open for business. Maybe Disney had purchased stuff but it was certainly not developed when Virgin opened.)Right, that was my point. Virgin may have come in there after hearing the stuff Disney was buying up, even if Disney hadn't completed the work on their buildings. The New Amsterdam Theater was in total shambles, when they bought it, and it took a few years to finish the renovations. I am pretty sure it was Disney that started buying the stuff, and other major companies hearing of this, knowing that values would be going up, followed suit. |
