Get access to their internet activity, their Facebook pages, their Twitter feeds, et al. Those are all essentially public information and such there is no need to "get access." In fact, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High shooter was reported to the FBI for this very reason but it was not deemed important enough, even though there was no legal obstacle to further surveilling him. So you expect them to have more surveillance? Then when law enforcement agencies go hat in hand to Congress or the State Legislature asking for more money to pay for these programs, you'll complain about "big government" and the "deep state." Finally, is there any evidence that most of these shooters ever reached what you call "critical mass" and glorified Nazis or school shooters? In fact, there are numerous news stories that you can Google of possible school shootings foiled by police who were warned of actual such posts. So what you're prescribing be done is already being done. |
