I'm not a Republican but I can answer the question.Its because the ACLU won't allow profiling or other infractions of our freedoms. You see, the only way this can be stopped is to take the wackos out of circulation before they can kill anyone. Outlawing guns won't do the trick - all that will do is take the guns away from law-abiding people. The crooks and the wackos will still get them somehow. The only way to stop the wackos is to start watching them when you have the first hint of trouble - for example, some kid is a loner, likes to wear goth makeup, wears a trench coat on hot days, you know the kind. Get access to their internet activity, their Facebook pages, their Twitter feeds, et al. When they reach critical mass - glorifying Nazis or prior school shooters - the FBI and/or local police arrest them. Yes, they haven't done anything criminal but if we wait until they do, we're going to have a lot of dead kids. So take your pick. What do you want? Your freedoms or the wackos shooting up the schools? And by the way, the problem is the same no matter who is in power. |
