I'm not so sure about that. Pennsylvania is not a lenient state for criminal defendants, especially when sex crimes are involved. The prosecutor has already indicated he will seek to have Cosby pay the Commonwealth for the cost of the trial, and the charges Cosby was convicted of, are serious felonies. That said, it's unlikely that the judge will give Cosby the full ten years on each of the three counts, instead, Cosby will probably do somewhere between three and five years, plus probation and sex-offender registration.

If he gets just one or two years, he might serve his time at the county lockup, rather than one of Pennsylvania's dreaded state prisons. However, he will get jail time. Any appeals he brings, will be litigated while he is behind bars. Oh, and in Pennsylvania, inmates can be forced to pay for their incarceration, as well.
