If I could control the weather, it wouldn't have snowed in DC this week.I believe the apology to be sincere and believe that people can do teshuva and learn from their experiences. However, ignorance is not an excuse, and what he said was anti-Semitic, no two ways about it. He's an elected official and I hold him to a higher standard. In addition to CM White learning this, it is important that other people learn from this too. I know people at JUFJ who have been in touch with CM White in recent days and the sense I get is that he is truly remorseful and is doing all he can to make amends and to understand why what he did is wrong and to work to ensure others are not baited by the same conspiracy theory. |
