The First Amendment is differentiated from the second for many reasons. Gun ownership is not and the extension of or expression of free speech. Therefore, and in the basis of its very language, no right of privacy is extended with it. At its simplest, the government needs to know who the militia members are, so there MUST be a public record of gun owners |
