One of the purposes of the Nobel Peace Prize, is to encourage the recipients to continue the work for which they are being recognized. That was the reason Dr. Martin Luther King was so honored; it was also true for President Barack Obama. Both deserved their Nobel Prizes.

I will grant that if Trump can successfully get Kim to give up his nuclear arsenal, he, too, will have earned a Nobel Prize. We'll see what develops.
