All that means to me is our hospitals are doing a better job at keeping people alive. Murder is an actual death. How many *attempts* at murder were made? How many murderous attempts failed, and then were played down by the police as a domestic dispute, or simple harassment, in order to please their political string-pullers and fudge the statistics? How does fewer murders contradict claims that crime in general is on the rise?Can't beat the irony of the Daily News, who ON THE SAME DAY, published the news that New York City saw its fewest murders in a long time, and then on the very next page, have an article from an NYPD whistle-blower regarding top brass intentionally fudging the stats. |
