I'm not going to get into the issue with Kaepernick and his actions as it's been beaten to death already. FWIW, it seems that some are feeling (or hoping) that his career is over. I'd agree that some owners will stay away from him because of his actions, but... he's also coming off two mediocre at best seasons. He simply wasn't lighting things up the way he had when came on for the injured starter, Alex Smith. So even if the controversy had never taken place... He likely wouldn't have been a priority for any team during this offseason.This is the NFL, and at the end of the day, it's all about the dollars. He may sit for a while (who knows), but at some point... Someone will need a QB, whether it's a starter or for the bench, and Kaepernick's phone will ring again. Unless he walks away... I doubt that his NFL career is over. |
