I think he's likely doing as any free agent that's not in high demand and/or in decline. Between him and his agent chances are he's well aware that his value is down, and that he'd likely not be signed at the start of free agency. A lot of professional sports athletes have suffered from their personal actions, and that rarely keeps them from being picked up by another team. In fact, I'd guess that he goes unsigned through the entire offseason then a team will invite him to preseason camps/workouts to see what he has left in the tank. |
