"Some low income people will probably be saved from diabetes as a result"I'm not sure that's true. As my own doctor told me, if you have the gene for diabetes, you will get it eventually. Once you reach the pre-diabetic stage, then management of the disorder requires you watch your carbs, especially simple sugars. Then there is the basic hypocrisy of government telling you they care about your health where they really want your money. |
