Miami actually does end up being more important than an area 5 times the size in the middle of the country with similar population. That is a bad thing. There is no reason for Miami to be more important than those areas in the middle of the country. There is no reason for that outside of the absurd electoral system that we have. LA, Seattle, Chicago, the Bay Area, NY, and every other northeastern city end up counting LESS than your average part of the midwest would of similar population. That too is a bad thing. There is no good reason for them to be less important either. Again, there is no reason for that outside of the absurd electoral system that we have. |
