He, like others who commit acts of animal cruelty, should do prison time like any other felon. Truth is, they rarely do. Some of the most horrific acts of cruelty committed against domesticated animals rarely bring any criminal charges to begin with. Most states treat animals as property, and cruelty laws are considered crimes against property. A dog is not a toaster! |
