Statistics don't "prove" a particular POV, they demonstrate information that can be interpreted along with other information.

Anyway, the statistics (2003) show that blacks killed by police are about 35% of the blacks & whites combined killed by police. Blacks are something around 12% of the population.

But ... (same 2003 FBI info) the overall number of blacks murdered (2,491) vs. whites murdered (3,005) means that more than 45% of murder victims are black.

And ... of the perpetrators of the murders (total 5,499 B & W) 2,654 (48%) were black yet 35% of those killed by police were black.

So now what do the statistics "prove"?

And why do you find the police shooting statistics as "basis for all of the anger and the #blacklivesmatter movement."

What it shows me once again is that police shooting of blacks are the only shooting of blacks that "matter" to the movement.
