Posted by AEM-7AC #901 on Fri Feb 12 14:38:47 2016, in response to Re: Subchat statists need to go, posted by Olog-hai on Fri Feb 12 11:29:47 2016. furthermore, the existence of the Department of the Interior is a violation of Article 4 Section 3 Clause 2.The Congress shall have power to dispose of and make all needful Rules and Regulations respecting the Territory or other Property belonging to the United States; and nothing in this Constitution shall be so construed as to Prejudice any Claims of the United States, or of any particular State Given that Congress approved the creation of that ministry of state in 1849 for the purpose of land management and management of domestic affairs, I don't see how the DoI conflicts with this clause. |
