'Satisfied' that holdout clerk Kim Davis' deputies were complying with his orders to issue marriage licenses to all couples in Rowan County, Kentucky, Judge David Bunning released her from the Carter County jail, just ahead of a massive rally staged by presidential candidate Mike Huckabee and several anti-gay organizations outside the facility. Bunning warned Davis not to interfere with the issuance of marriage licenses in her office, although Davis said she would continue to "follow [her] conscience". The howling mob seems to be a factor here, though, IMO. |
