Now granted, I remember the first of the Pills and how broadly accepted they were, even with all the side effects (weight gain being the most famous). To me, this is an equivalent, for everyone gay or straight, to be able to enjoy their "wild oats" years without a lifetime of consequences and (for women) maintain the ability to have a family later without the rigors of medications and caesareans. Yet it just doesn't seem to be catching on. Does any of that make a difference on the street, where it really counts? |
