OK, here's the story. A true story.In 1982 I was 22 years old, and I got my then girlfriend pregnant. This was just a couple of years before I started with CTA. I was just making just barely over minimum wage. My girlfriend did not want the baby, while I did. At that time my personal feelings toward abortion was indifferent. We broke up shortly after the abortion, and my attitude at the time was that I was young, and I'll have more opportunities. Well here I am at 55 still with no children. I often feel that G-d has punished me for not doing more to stop it. But I do know that the reality is unless I was handcuffed to her 24/7, there really very little I could have done. I apologize yesterday for snapping, I thought that you as a regular subchatter knew my story. |
