There's this pesky thing called the 2nd Amendment...Sorry, but your suggestion is unconstitutional.A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. There's nothing in there about guns. It merely guarantees the right to weapons in some capacity. Since common sense dictates that you don't have the right to any weapon you want (Sidewinder missile? Atomic bomb? RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS!) and the 2nd Amendment doesn't explicitly guarantee the right to any specific weapons in particular, there is no constitutional right to guns. |
