Great book! And heh. Good old "Grandma", the official disciplinarian of 102.7. "Don't touch the top rack, those are mine." In case you aren't aware of Richard's ("Don't call me Dick") reason for pointing that out, she always started off with a whole side of Yes, ELP, ELO or Genesis while she yammered with her Broadway theater friends on the studio phone.And you had to have your sets down on paper before your show so that they could be checked for "played too much" or "played an hour before you came in" so about the only thing that you weren't prepped on was the ads you had to read "hot" from the logs. Richard was a really great guy, another refugee from LIR. :) |
