Yeah, darkness seems to be a human trait, I've made it a point to try to divert people from that attitude, and it largely works. Especially out here where I live. It may not measure up if money accumulation is your thing, but in terms of love, compassion, and watching out for one another and realizing that life is a gift, it's short and you want to leave this planet in peace, works for me.We have an interesting population here, mostly farmers, retirees, and new immigrants to this country who stopped off in NYC on their way, said "fuck that" and moved up here. Interestingly diverse too. Lots of Muslims who said "fuck that shit" in their homeland, came up here to just live in peace and "wow, America! Fuck yeah! I can do what I want as long as I don't fuck with people." Folks from South and Central America who admire the fact that they can have a gun and use it only for hunting instead of defending their home. Reality is that the world CAN get better. As soon as these assholes who keep insisting on hate and destruction just die of old age or going full tilt on their BS and getting taken care of by others who have just had their fill of their shit. :) I live to build, to encourage, to nurture, to help. And for those who want to ridicule all that, I'll STILL help. But buy INTO any of their shit personally? Nope. Too much peace here to believe in their shit. Life does not HAVE to be paranoia and hate. You CAN make peace and get along. All it takes is some forgiveness, and having no qualms about just taking out the crazies so they don't piss on YOUR carpet. |
