Well, let's see.

His family has never been rounded up by a government into camps because that government refused to trust them.

His family has never been rounded up by a government into camps to be killed.

His family has never been forced to give up one of his children to the government, have that government convert the child to a different religion, and possibly used against them.

He is not considered an alien in the nation in which he was born, forced to deny any connections to his ancestral homeland to so much as get a job.

The first is the Japanese-American internment by the US government in WII. (George Takei's new Broadway show on the subject is opening soon)

The second, of course, is the Holocaust.

The Third is the treatment of the Baltic and Greek people's under Turkish rule, with the so called "Blood Tax" where by every non-Muslim family was supposed to give up a son to the government. Daughter's were taken also, separately, for the harems.

And the fourth is the current treatment of those living in Japan of Korean descent, brought there during the period in the early 20th Century when Korean was controlled by Japan.
