What would make the most sense would be a bonus reimbursement rate for small practitioners since the economy of scale for large groups is a completely different thing. There, paperwork restrictions are their biggest issue based on the sheer volume. Is your dad a PCP or a specialist? The smaller practitioners do the best work and generally have better outcomes than groups and they should be rewarded for the better care. |
