Actually they did, so I had to step away from KNOS and leave it in bingbong's hands plus my old posse. We HAVE looked into it though, and each manufacturer runs entirely different hardware inside. The phone side of the equation is an entirely separate system. So although this CAN be done (BSD has ARM code available) it would be a logistical nightmare unless a manufacturer was willing to build enough units to make a KNOS build worth the development investment.
