But that's not what happened here at all.
Huh? We're not talking about what happened here. We're talking about how Android photos could end up on iCloud, which is what you asked about. Spider-pig told you how.

It is possible for photos with Android EXIF data to end up on iCloud. If you have iPhoto, then adding any photo to the library, from any source, will cause it to be uploaded to the iCloud photo stream, if that feature is enabled. Meanwhile, Apple also has an iCloud Control Panel for Windows. If you add any photos to the "Upload" folder assigned by that app, it is moved to the iCloud Photo Stream folder, and uploaded to the iCloud Photo Stream. If you receive a photo by e-mail or MMS on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, and save it to your camera roll, it is uploaded to the iCloud Photo Stream, if enabled. Same if you save it off the web or through an app into the camera roll. Finally, if you have the iPad camera adapter USB, and connect an android phone to that, it will treat it as a camera, save the photos, and IINM upload it to the iCloud Photo Stream. That seems like the least likely scenario.

Photo Stream is mentioned many times. And you never told him that he was wrong.
