Garner was a career criminal who resisted arrest by refusing to be cuffed AFTER the police told him several times to put his hands behind his back. "No!! This ends today!" (Yes it did!!!) Police work isn't Let's Make A Deal where we can negotiate whether or not we want to be taken into custody or not.My attitude, as a lifetime NYer, is to defend the good people while having NO sympathy for the bad people. P.S. EVERYONE who gets killed by the police is "getting his life together", an "aspiring rapper", "going to college", and all that good stuff. JUST like you accuse the police, courts, RWers of "character assasination", the other side always makes these guys look like altar boys even though in real life they were punk thugs. THIW. |
