You didn't link to an article— does NASA actually say global warming is on hiatus or did you just assume that from the graph? I think you are misinterpreting. I think what the experts are saying is that they believe the current hiatus is temporary and that more warming is coming soon. But that wasn't the point I was making. I was pointing out that they aren't explaining why the hiatus has happened at all. I think you might be misinterpreting. That the temperature hasn't gone up consistently year in and year out doesn't mean that global warming has stopped, even temporarily. 1998 was only 16 years ago— not enough time for the average temperature to exceed what used to be an extreme outlier. |
