They offer right wing news, knowing that the sort of people who voluntarily sign up for that are all gullible dipshits, and then sell the mailing list to overpriced gold hawkers and medical quacks and other scammers who want a list of confirmed gullible dipshits to market at. Incidentally, they also paid something like $0.15 per signup with absolutely no verification that the signups are legitimate, so I made a small but respectable amount of money signing up before they caught on. |
