Something like all the people of Japanese descent were locked up after the US declared an area theoretically vulnerable to attack. Meanwhile, there were Jews who got into the US (and Canada, and England, etc).The question is how many Japanese who tried to emigrate to America vs. how many Jews. The fact that they're a country which can set its immigration policy? How many persecuted refugees are there today who have already been turned away by most other countries? That's your basis of your viewpoint that Israel can take more refugees? Can you try being more specific about how that follows? Announcing a policy does not justify it. Considering that the policy doesn't appear to be illegal, I'd say making it clear from the outset is enough. |
