But why should A&E lose their "livelihood" over one of their employee's comments? Now as it turns out the viewers of his show are sufficiently low class that his comments don't bother them, so A&E made the right business decision, but what if it weren't like that? What happens when someone makes comments that are bad for his employer's bottom line? Right wingers have no problem with corporations being allowed to fire employees at will, unless of course he expresses some objectionable ultra-right ideology that actually hurts his employer's bottom line by causing customers to look elsewhere.

A&E is not the government. It is not bound by the first amendment.
