Macy's - JC Penny - Bloomingdales, same level competitor

In contrast, I'd put JCP with Sears, while Bloomingdale's should be really be classed with Nordstrom. Macy's has pretty much locked up most of the mid range department store sales, especially around the Northeast where there's no real competition to it unless one counts Lord & Taylor.

FWIW, Kohl's is probably what's killing JCP and Sears. Much nicer stores, more attractive sales, and the locations seem to be a bit more convenient.
