KMart is more like Woolco (Which Woolworth owned), KMart was Kresge's version of Woolco.They are a slightly different class of stores. Comparing Sears to KMart is like when people were trying to compare WalMart to Costco, even if less extremely different than that comparison. I would say Kohl's is more of a competitor to Sears than WalMart would be. Kohl's - Sears, same level competitor (close) KMart - Walmart - Target, same level competitor Costco - BJ's - Sam's Club same level competitor Macy's - JC Penny - Bloomingdales, same level competitor |
