Once the towers fell, and the shcok wore off, and I began thinking about it. I KNEW that I would never see something built there in my lifetime.At this point the Port Authority should just fill in the hole and make it a park. It wouldn't contribute much of anything to the economy but at least wouldn't be so unsightly. We lost the war, and now we've lost the peace too. In the long run, maybe at some point the city's economy will collapse, it will go into municipal bankruptcy, and the federal board appointed to run its affairs will decide to do something about Ground Zero.
