Eddie, I couldn't find any info on the builders plate regarding model numbers. It was very basic and just showed that it was built in December, that it weights 40,700 pounds and other little specs like that. I saw a VIN, which I should have looked at more closely, but didn't see anything about what it was called.By the way, this was on coach 968. That makes at least three NABI's in now. The other two were 954 and 955. They're not coming in number order though because the first one is supposed to be in the 940's.... |

Transfort asked for a BRT styled front end and NABI responeded that they had redesigned the front mask on all lfw's. So hopefully we'll be seeing pictures of 40-lfw's from several other transit agencies with the new front mask. |

By the way, are CAT's 1999 NABIs LNG-powered, do they have two A/C units, or is there nothing in the back where the A/C normally is? I ask because in the case of Valley Metro, the A/C is on the roof and where the A/C normally is (there are vents there although no unit) there is a large steel LNG tank. That's a very good question - I actually looked into that while I was down there. The NABI 40LFWs only have one (loud) a/c unit on the top of the bus. |

That's true but what I meant was that those "see through" vents look somewhat tacky and that it looked like it was missing some sort of cover. |

I'm wondering if that's really a Vegas specification though (much like the extra engine vents in back). Since it gets so hot down there, this may be necessary. |

I'm not sure, but I will definitely check with our contractor on Tuesday and get back to you on that. Hopefully a few of them will be out as we want some running for the following week when our atics will be doing the NASCAR shuttles. You will still find the D40HF's running around. If you want to ride a DE40LFR you're best bet is the 105 and 207 which come through the Downtown Transportation Center and the 218 which runs along Cheyenne, but is easily accessible by all of the 100-series routes. |

They're coming but not ready for the road. They're not even going to be ready next week when we're really going to need them to assist with NASCAR transportation. We'll have enough buses to help out though.Enjoy your time here if you do come though. |
