Thanks for posting this!

I didn't know that they cut the B82 Hawk back to the Ulmer Park depot.

The Bx7 should run all the way down to 168th Street so that riders can transfer to the M2, M3 and M4 for points south.

I'm guessing the Bx6 to Riverside Drive, Bx39 to Clason Point, and B38 to Metropolitan Avenue are all errors?

yeah, I was just thinking the same thing about the BX7. this entire scenario is already a cluster fuck.

They also forgot to draw the Newtown Creek on the Brooklyn map.

Hopefully there are things that they can correct.

Cuomo did not give the schedule people very much time to come up with an overnight extra bus service plan.

It's interesting to see an overnight bus map even if this one is extraordinary because of revised service - it points out where the empty areas, far from a bus, are.

One thing to note is that the northern tip of Manhattan seems cut off from the rest of the borough. The Dyckman Street area has no bus service in any direction.

The only error I've picked up so far (not that I'm blaming anyone - I know it's a rush job) is that the Q35 is depicted as running along "National Dr" (a Mill Basin street the B100 runs on) when it's on Flatbush Ave south of Kings Plaza on the Brooklyn Bus Map.

The bus map isn’t very clear but it looks like there are bus route replacing the 1 and the A but thy are shown in gray without any route numbers specified. The buses themselves will probably display signs reading something like A TRAIN or 1 TRAIN like they do when operating as subway shuttles during service outages.

Overnight subway service was not replaced with buses. No replacement in Bklyn for D or N. No new bus routes. In Borough Park there are only the B11 on 50 St and B8 on 18 Av. No service between 5 & 18 Av and between 50 Street & 86 St. Not acceptable.

Why do you think this is "not acceptable"?

What is current ridership at the stations that do not have bus service between 1am and 5am?

No Bx31 service serving 4 hospitals

No Bx7 which would be a substitute for the 1 line.....and the only direct service between Columbia-Presberyterian and the West Bronx.

No B9 service running along most of the N line.

No Q8 bus service along 101 Ave which would be ideal for the A line from Euclid to Lefferts as well as a connection to Jamaica buses and LIRR.

Current ridership is zero because the trains are not running. What kind of question is that?

According to the MTA website, subways running between 1 and 5 AM are not for essential workers but only for MTA crews to get in their proper place for the morning rush hour. If it were not possible to operate new routes, at least the B16 should remain in service all night and it should be diverted to serve Maimonides Hospital.

We're complaining here. But are essential workers complaining to the MTA or their elected reps?

I would think it would be a mirror of the daytime usage, only lighter. The D is pretty heavily utilized.

The point is there shouldn’t be such a big section of the borough without spans service. There are also no express buses in Borough Park.

So here are the entries for the D train during the early morning hours of Wednesday April 29th. For some stations, it is between Midnight and 4am and for other stations it is between 1am and 5am. For 62nd/New Utrecht, it includes entries for both the D and the N.

9th Avenue -- 11
Fort Hamilton Parkway -- 25
50th Street -- 7
55th Street -- 6
62nd / New Utr. -- 18
71st Street -- 6
79th Street -- 9
18th Avenue -- 8
20th Avenue -- 6
Bay Parkway -- 31
25th Avenue -- 14
Bay 50 St -- 15

I'm not sure these numbers would justify a dedicated bus line covering the route. In fact, it seems like the stations that are furthest from any bus service also have the lightest ridership (which could be taken care of by the supplemental ride service).

If you live or work 1/2 mile or more from a bus route with overnight service, you could obtain a voucher for a taxi ride, according to the MTA website.

Is this true?

The QM6 is making QM18 stops from Union Turnpike to Woodhaven Blvd. The X68 makes stops east of Union Turnpike. Along the Jamaica Line riders can take the QM17 (with added stops on Woodhaven) and transfer to the Q24 or Q56.

I see no such train-replacement routes. The routes indicated by outlines (two thin parallel lines) are the subway lines themselves. As for Dyckman St., it seems there is no local bus connecting the area north of Dyckman St. (Inwood) to the area south of Dyckman St. There is the BxM1 (shown on the Bronx map), but that is not the same thing.

Sounds like MTA lies to me. At least Phill provided substitute bus service overnight when its rapid transit lines were shut down.
