No X27,B9 & M55 bus overnight service.
Posted by Chicago44 on Wed May 6 10:34:42 2020 I was very surprised that the X27 express bus wasn't running overnight hours since this route that serves Shore Rd was blocks west of 4 Av except for Bay Ridge Av & 3 Av. The same goes for the B9 local, this route runs right next or near the N train so they should have it this bus run overnight between 71 St & Shore Rd & Ave M & East 16 St. The same goes for the M55 local, this route runs along Trinity Pl, Church St, 6 Av & Broadway, they should have kept this bus running overnight,

Bay Ridge residents at 77th, 86th and 95th won't have a far walk if they're let off (from a free, fast X28) near 86th/Fort Hamilton Pkwy. Perhaps exit turnstile ridership at Bay Ridge Ave didn't warrant detouring the X28 off the highway at 65th/3rd to make additional local stops.

To add insult to injury, TA sent out emails advising of no runs AFTER the time the bus was scheduled to make that particular run. This was NOT thought out.

Plus, the M10 and M57 should also operate overnight. The M101 and M103 should also have enhanced service. BTW, some enhanced service schedules are not on the MTA website. Overnight, the M42 is operating every 22/23 minutes, and the M50 operates every 20 minutes. (I filed a formal complaint for the latter.)

The 3rd/Lex buses already offer (approximately) a combined 20 minute headway. Unless there is overcrowding those lines are fine as-is. The M31 I can see but there's no point to having the M66. Also remember that they can barely fill the existing overnight service as-is (hence why you have so many cancellation notices going out every night)
