I'm sure your heart is in the right place, but the reality is nothing is going to happen. The city will never provide parking for its First Responders, and the First Responders are going to park where they see fit.

So a manned police car parked means he was parked there in his official capacity? I don't think so. He could've been waiting for his buddy to pick up some donuts. He could've pulled over to send a personal text. I could go on.

Well, if so, you haven't explained it particularly well. An on-duty cop is allowed to block traffic or park against the signs to buy donuts?

Since a cop’s lunch break could be interrupted at any time by an emergency call, basically yes.

The "story" is just an example of possible non-official reasons for parking there. You did not address the point that there could be non-official-duty reasons for blocking traffic.

If there is a uniformed cop in an unmarked car right at that conference, dollars to doughnuts (pun intended) he was assigned to the conference and was supposed to be where he was.

As I mentioned i my other post, there are occasions when an unmakes vehicle on official police business has to illegally park as when responding to an emergency call crime in progress etc so ticketing such a vehicle under those circumstances could be loosely classified as interference with police business.

While a retired MOS was at the head of the group, I believe active duty officers were included in the busts.

Lexington Avenue Bus Lane History

I asked someone in NYCDOT when the lane from 96th to 60th was installed and they told me 2001. I haven't found anything about the implementation of the line and why they implemented it at that time. Anyone here know anything?
