OK, Stupid, here are the facts that you were too lazy to be aware of or look up yourself:

"27 of the 48 lines may be cut in July"
http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/03/02/mta-may-cut-half-of-long-islands-bus-service/

DIDN'T HAPPEN. MTA kept up their minimal subsidy as a stop-gap until they killed LIB.

THEN:
"the n2/8, n14, n17, n46, n50, n51, n62, n73, n74, n80, n81), the n19 will be cut back to Sunrise Mall
(That's ELEVEN, NOT TWENTY-SEVEN)

http://www.city-data.com/forum/long-island/2511066-nice-bus-continues-diminished-new-york.html#ixzz4NvDRaod2

FIVE OF ELEVEN resurfaced as Community Shuttles
http://www.nicebus.com/Maps-Schedules/Bus-Maps-and-Schedules.aspx

So we are down SIX, NOT TWENTY-SEVEN.

NEXT TIME learn to read and not attack who you do not like.
But you are thin-skinned idiot like Donald Trump, so it won't happen.

You are nothing but a menial mail room clerk who knows nothing of Transport Planning or Legal contracts.

This is how it would go:

Nassau: Hey MTA, we're thinking we'd like you take back our bus system.

MTA: Ok, but you're going to have to give us a much bigger subsidy this time around.

Nassau: Forget it, we'll keep NICE.

Assuming a dialogue gets that far, that's exactly what will happen.

MTA wants high density routes. Most suburban bus routes don't fit that description. Maybe they should look at ST business model and use some school bus companies.

Why should MTA subsidize Nassau when they don't do so for Suffolk, Westechester, Putnam, Orange or Rockland.

That makes a bit of sense. Now I’m not sure if it is still the case, but at one time the entire NYC transit system was owned by the City of NY and merely operated by the NYCTA and its successor the MTA (although the NYCTA is still the legal operator of the NYCTS due to outstanding bonds).

Go down to page 4
(If you go on making a fuss, you are totally hopeless)

"The MTA served notice on October 7, 2010 to the Nassau County Legislature that it will no longer subsidize the Long Island Bus System (LIBS), and requested that Nassau County increase its subsidy from $9.1 million to its full projected subsidy of $36.1 million for fiscal year 2011. It is anticipated that the MTA will follow through with the mandatory notice to discontinue LIBS service leaving Nassau Commuters stranded with significant economic damage to the County economy."
