MDBF has not been great for the Orions with the BAE (series)hybrid drive. Does anybody have any data from TAs operating buses with the Allison (parallel)hybrid drive. Conceptually, they would be better for the outer boros with less traffic density where the series hybrids don't really bring any fuel savings, but if they were also more reliable, it would make a big difference. BAE being a NY product was going to be tough to beat on paper, but we have years of real operational data now. |
