So much for that theory. Looks like the L.I.E. COULD be busy IF choices #1 OR #2 win the bidding.

North East has a facility at JFK Airport.

It could go either way, even ABC has a facility closer to Manhattan.

Hmmm,

The way I am reading this solicitation tells me that they are just looking for a new contract to perform the lead-acid battery replacements on buses that currently have lead-acid batteries (i.e., 6365-6905, 3500-3562, 3564-3783, 3800-3959), not necessarily a change of plans to convert the 289 MTAB hybrids to diesel.

I don't see it as keeping the MTAB units as hybrids but as a way to competitively sign a new contractor to replace lead-acid batteries on buses so equipped.

IDK, just my two cents.
