You need to explore the app first.Tap the MTA tracker logo, it will bring up a drop down menu...  Tap track. There's three option... Route, Stop, Vehicle. For example... to track vehicle like New Flyer C40LF #389. Tap vehicle. Then tap vehicle number and it will bring up a keyboard. Type 389 and tap Track on the screen. and it will show up on the map and 389 is on B63 route to Cobble Hill/Brooklyn Bridge Park. |

Does it show buses OOS or detoured cause it shows 8843 assigned to the B17 but it's traveling near the route but off route like it's near by dead heading or something? The status bar says normal progress. |

It started out at an off route intersection about 5 blocks away traveled east towards the beginning of the B17 route but then turned right on a side street an appeared to go in service in the middle of the route and followed the routes path to the end at Utica Avenue then disappeared or went out of service cause it logged off on the app but the bus is still shown on the map. |
