You need to explore the app first. Tap the MTA tracker logo, it will bring up a drop down menu... Tap track. There's three option... Route, Stop, Vehicle. For example... to track vehicle like New Flyer C40LF #389. Tap vehicle. Then tap vehicle number and it will bring up a keyboard. Type 389 and tap Track on the screen. and it will show up on the map and 389 is on B63 route to Cobble Hill/Brooklyn Bridge Park.
