New buses 4113-4125 have now been delivered, just waiting on 4126 and 4127. I know 4113-4115 are in service but I have only seen 4114. Also, add 4025H to Schenectady.

I think this their last contract with Gillig, I think the last order is next year, possibly 2016 I don't remember. I'm surprised their done with Hybrids though.

I think so obviously there louder then the diesels but I think they are smoother especially coming to a complete stop. Drivers have said CDTA wasted their money on them but as a driver they are smoother and a tad bit faster.

CDTA buses (unlike other cities) don't spend much time in traffic, so that's not surprising.

hybrids aren't the money savers they thought they would be.

Do you have any CDTA information showing this?

Theoretically, hybrid buses would have a lower day-to-day operating cost than diesels due to greater fuel efficiency. Supposedly there are also certain maintenance costs such as brakes which tend to be lower on hybrids. The downside with hybrids is the higher initial purchase cost and the high cost when the batteries need to be replaced. I wonder if CDTA has reached the point that they are now incurring some of those expenses.
