NOT TRUE.The Nova LFS artic did experience in-service failures and other mechanical problems. Last year was MDBF 5,509 miles, lower then expected. Nova Bus did provide free support services to MTA at no cost just to improve the bus performances, hence higher MDBF. Typical growing pains for new buses. |

Depending on how long the tanks are certified for, I think that this issue could be forced sooner than later---I could see a bid for replacements as soon as 2015, with an award of a contract in early 2016. (The new C40LFs, by contrast, have tanks certified for 20 years---ensuring that the tanks should outlast the bus.) |

If it helps, the 40' Xcelsiors have the most vendor trips compared to the Orion Third Gens which are the least problematic.
