Also, when MSBA/LIB operated this service, wasn't there a combo LIRR/bus ticket for those who took the LIRR and transferred to connecting bus service at Freeport ? Since NICE is under private operation, I was curious if there is a combo train/bus fare. Thanks in advance. Bill Newkirk |

This sign was at the East Bath House of Jones Beach on July 12, 2012. The bus arrived at 5:33 as scheduled. Note the reference to service after concerts! A few clicks will get an enlargement on Webshots.

Package includes (3) stubs:(1) Discounted off peak round trip rail ticket (2) Jones Beach Bus (N88) one way ticket So it looks like you present a stub to the NICE driver when boarding the bus ? I'm surprised the LIRR doesn't use a Metrocard that the conductor punches (away from the magnetic stripe) and passneger dips into the fare box. Bill Newkirk |
