Q51 question, is there any signs for a demand for south Brooklyn - Rockaway service?

I have study the B 2 and the Rockaways it always result the same way, more to the Brighton Line and school kids from St. Edmond to Rockaway Pk.

The only way to know is to ask the people from the Rockaways to see if it is something they might want. I know if I wanted to go to the Rockaways from Sheepshead Bay, it is three buses and two fares. For a relatively short trip that takes 20 minutes by car, it shouldn't take 90 minutes to 2 hours by bus.

Agree with the traveling time but disagree for the need.

Look at the current makeup right now... Most Rockaway Pk customers are St. Edmond customers B 49, a handful are rarely going to KCC (B 49/Brighton), and Manhattan (Brighton/Nostrand Av line). That is a typical rush hour B 2 ridership.... Off peak weekdays (no one is thinking south Brooklyn).

There is more of a potential demand for Lower Manhattan - Rockaway express services than for a South Brooklyn - Rockaway service.

I've posted the B 100 should be split into and combine the Mill basin portion to the B 2 and the Fillmore Av and west to Q 22 giving Rockaway customers the option for a one - seat ride to the Brighton Line. Wiht the development of Arverne, the Q 35 needs to be extend to the current Q 21 (soon to be Q 52) terminal, again giving Arverne direct one - seat ride to the Nostrand Av Line. Overall the Q 22/B 100, B 2/B 100 combo should play well with the NYCTA/MTAB rules regarding buses needed to support the two routes (Q22 to Brooklyn would only be operating during weekdays/the new B 2 would operate the same buses currently running on the B 100)

Ideas like these are needed for Rockaway.
