Meh, probably another fluke just like the previous 9599 move. Either way FLA is going to lose those 1998 Novas when it gets artics.

Hellll no!!! Some other lousy ass depot doesn't deserve the 9500s from here. They've been in FP their entire life so why the hell is MTA doing this unnecessary bullshit? FP was only suppose to get 55 OrionVII NGs to replace the 1996 Novas, why the hell did they send 60+ here? Those 9500s are the best buses FP has and very memorable during my HS years. Even after the terrible Grand Avenue opening moves, these buses were the only redeeming thing about FP. I am so sick and tired of MTA's bullshit changes, always screwing over FP whenever possible.

If FP loses all of its original RTSs before getting brand new buses, I will give up being a Fresh Pond bus buff for the rest of my life. If FLA needs fucking 1998 Novas, take the ones from UP and QV!!!!!!!!

Seems they are consolidating the lower 9600s at FB. If 9696 returns, then it seems FB could get most of the 9600s, but if not, I wouldn't be surprised if the MTA moves out the higher numbered 9600s elsewhere.

I think you are getting a little carried away with this. This is supposed to be an enjoyable hobby. It's not a life / death situation. Relax, buses come & go, enjoy them while you can. Those of us that are a little older have seen the GM Flatbottoms, Macks, Fishbowls, Flxibles, MCI Classics & other models come & go. Be great full you had the opportunity to enjoy them in the first place.

UP B/Os could never be trained 7 bus types and FP has never tested a demo model before. GA on the other did test the Designline bus briefly. If MTA does pick the Brooklyn Division for the MTS, it will most likely be Grand Avenue since it only has 2 bus types.

Can't they just adapt? I may like the 5000 numbered RTSs, but it wasn't the end of the world when they got moved around to UP, ENY or MJQ. To him it's like the 9500s leaving FP is cutting an arm off or something dramatic.

It's a friggin bus, move to the depot that has such buses or buy one if one loves it so much.

I'm glad we got to enjoy the Macks, GM old-looks, fishbowls, lxibles, Grummans and so on. Think of how we felt when the MTA stomped it's feet and sidelined all of the Grummans! I enjoyed riding them in the Bronx. Think of how I felt!
In my opinion, the RTS has always been a piece of crap (remember, that's just my opinion).
My favorite buses have always been the fishbowls. I'm thankful that I was able to obtain (my photography or purchased) slides of all but a few of the Blitz-rebuilt fishbowls. I currently have 2 extras of the Blitz for sale on ebay (ebay ID is nhrrlives). Check it out!
