Alright, then why didn't they provide numbers to back up their v claims? They should've given me an estimate of how many people would be inconvenienced by having fewer locals vs. how many people would benefit from having more frequent service and faster service. |

Costs money to do that analysis. My complete guess is that someone took a quick look and decided that it wasn't worth pursuing further. |

True, but that attitude has got to change. If there isn't anything fundamentally wrong with the idea, I think it warrants more than just a "quick look". I mean, the S53 has the highest ridership of any Staten Island bus route. While that doesn't automatically mean it should get a limited, it definitely warrants further looking into, which they refused to do. I mean, realistically, how much money would it take to do a few more traffic checks and analyze the data? |
