Why is the MTA pandering so much to Country Club residents when they barely use the bus services provided to them? Regardless, I'm glad they came to their senses and gave Metropolitan Avenue its bus service back though. |

For instence it states 12-1p the current hw is 10 and the accual timetable states a 15-12 hw. I bet the data provided by the mta was the pre cut schedual. |

What "internal MetroTech" road will the bus use? Will it enter MetroTech on Myrtle Avenue and simply turn around in the traffic circle? Bx5 isn't going anywhere anytime soonConfirmed page 64 Although the Bx5 also serves Crosby Avenue, customers of this route do not originate from the same neighborhoods of the Bx8. Crosby Avenue is a highly active commercial and retail corridor which would benefit from the services of two bus routes Looks like Crosby Avenue can thank Country Club for doubling their service |

Actually, that's a side issue...the issue is more to Parkchester customers (Bx4A, but to me, it should be called the Bx44), and customers in Edgewater Park that have to ride to Pelham Bay Park and then double back to reach the supermarket at Crosby and Bruckner Boulevard. Since the Bx54 was cut through that area, the Metropolitan Avenue portion of it always had some route servicing it (that cut was probably poorly thought out).The Bx5 White Plains Road short turns are Bx54 remnants. |

On my old Brooklyn bus map from 2001, the B54 to downtown made a left turn on Duffield Street, then right turned into the Metrotech building tunnel which goes all the way to Jay Street. It would terminate right there, across the street from the old MTA building. When it left, it went up Jay Street, right turned on Tillary, right turned on Flatbush Extension, then left turn back on Myrtle. A lot quicker than the current B54. |
